Thank You

Dear TraderFlorida,

During this Thanksgiving I have much to be thankful for, and you are one of those.  Your tireless giving, teaching and service is an inspiration, and I for one am so very grateful that people like you give back so much so freely and graciously.  It means more than you know.

Three years ago I was on top of the world, living the dream.  I was a warrior in peak condition in every way and being paid handsomely for my specialized skills.  I loved what I was doing and me and my family were living the good life.  An injury changed all that.  Overnight I found myself without a career, no way to provide for my family anymore, and essentially unable to leave the house physically.  Moreover, we lived in a foreign land, by choice, but where I had little ability to communicate in meaningful depth and with limited options for income.  After that initial turn of events, our family suffered setback after setback.  It seemed like we were hit with some new obstacle just about every week after that change in momentum.  You know the expression, “When it rains, it pours?”  Yeah …

I had already gravitated towards trading a few years back and had started the learning process as my exit strategy from working in Iraq.  After my injury and inability to work, I moved too quickly into live trading without the proper foundation, but at that time I had to do something.  Well, of course you and I both know how foolish that was to try and make a living trading while learning to trade (only in hindsight for me).

Now after a relatively short couple of years, I am well on my way again.  I have the means and the way to success and financial independence and I am moving slowly toward those goals.  I realize I am still just beginning and that this trading path is very difficult.  Believe me, I experience that every single day. Still, the truth is that I am now clawing my way back into success and most importantly, finding the way to sustain the needs of my family – that is so critical.

I wanted to send you a personal expression of my deepest gratitude for all you do and for how much you have helped me with my learning process over the past couple of years.  Thanks to you I am once again well on my way to being able to provide for my family and hopefully one day will  be financially independent. Thanks to you I have been able to become successful in something I am passionate about again, which after a debilitating injury you have no idea how much that means.  I know I have done the work.  We have done it together. You have provided me with the tools and pointed the way and helped me stay on course without going off into the ditches on both sides.  You have shortened my learning curve and path to success by an immeasurable degree and helped save me from who knows how many possible setbacks through account blowups or devastating losses along the way.

I especially want to personally thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do.  All you do to help and serve the traders in your site and elsewhere online as you have done for many years now.  I know you do not need to do this, yet you do, and it is a world of service that enriches the lives of so many.  I and my family are so blessed and grateful for all you have done to teach, to mentor and to help illuminate the way in this toughest of all businesses.

I won’t bore you with the details of my long struggle.  And I cannot begin to express the depth of my gratitude to you, your family and your staff for all you have done to help me along this path.  And for what you will continue to do.  It is beyond words.  And it’s not just the teaching about the technical and mental aspects of trading, your insights and inspiration reach far into all levels of life.  You are truly a role model for us all.

I see the day when your videos and rants are all over YouTube, and millions listen to you as they do now with those from your mentor, Jim Rohn, for you have fully stepped up to the plate with Jim.  I know he was a mentor of yours, and now you are carrying that torch equally as well as he has and with as much dignity and effect as Jim has.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family,

Wayne
